Soup Day!

I am calling today "Soup Day". Two reasons. 1. It's windy and cold out. What happened to our warm days? Poo. 2. I made soups! Zero Point Soup and Red Lentil soup. I make ZPS often so no biggie there. But the Red Lentil soup is a new one. I got the recipe out of my Vegetarian Times Magazine. We'll see how it turns out. Smeeelllllllsssss delish though. *yummmmy*

Lost some work

Rats.

I got an email from one of the people I work for and have been cut back by half my time. That sucks :( But sucks more that their situation that causes me to have to cut back. *sigh*

On a much brighter note - I had a very long telephone call with a dear friend I have not been in touch with since about mid 2001! I've missed this friend *so* much. I'm thrilled to have talked with her again *starry eyes* I hope we all can get together soon.

Sooo much to do!

Busy busy!

It seems like I have so much to do and not enough time. Or maybe I am mismanaging my time. Oftentimes I am having a particular medical problem that lays me out. So on the days I feel good I'm off and running trying to catch up. Which lands me back in trouble.

Yesterday I did do something that was on the ToDo list. I love that. I love the big ole thick line that indicates DONE. Went to Big Bear to pick up some free rugs. They are beautiful! Sage green with white borders. Someone was giving them away. They work perfectly in the downstairs hall.

The Movie list is slowly being chipped away. We saw "Marathon Man" last night. It was on the Top 100 Action films, I think. Anyway, it was good. Very entertaining. There are 17 left to view on that list. Today I will DVR another one - Lawrence of Arabia.

I want so badly to get outside and start work in the yards. But it's still a little too cold. And too snowy. And I just know we have a lot more "weather" to go through before it's really time to start. I'm collecting egg shells for the garden though. The seedlings are doing well. But even if I do have any problems with them, this early I should be able to start over. I am losing hope that the cukes, brussel sprouts, oregano and amaranthus will grow. The seeds are just so old and nothing is coming up yet.
